Will Burrard-Lucas: Travel & Wildlife Photographer

I have always been an obsessive traveller and my transition to obsessive travel photographer happened naturally and rather rapidly; I took my first travel photos in 2002 and by 2004 I was shooting with Canon’s flagship EOS 1D Mk II camera. I have recently upgraded to the new Canon EOS 1D Mk III and tend to travel with a 300mm f2.8, an 85mm f1.2, a 16-35mm f2.8, a Speedlite 550 ex, a Manfrotto tripod, a Jobo Gigavu pro and my trusty Canon EOS 400D as a backup (that’s if I can get it all through security at Heathrow).

My partner in crime on many of my photography trips is my younger brother, Matthew. You can see some of his award winning photos over at Mattbl.com.

While I’m not away photographing, I develop and run an array of photography-related websites which include PhotoGalaxy.com and EarthShots.org (more websites).
